Packhorse Path

This ancient packhorse route from the west to the east of England is now part of the Trans Pennine Trail. Very appropriate but most of us users these days are not going that far. The trees are predominantly very big hollies but produce this very enticing tunnel.
It has been a lovely crispy, cold day with a lot of winter sunshine. Our morning walk was very uplifting as the sun rose. It is quite magical the way that the sun can lift the spirits. 
Household chores this morning and making photo birthday cards this afternoon. Quite a lazy day.
