Royle

I feel like I’ve covered every inch of Cambridge over the past several months. As I’m now staying slightly more to the east of the city centre it creates opportunities for different walks and explorations. This afternoon to maximise time in the bright weather I did a long walk around the Cherry Hinton area of the city. This sounds like it should be an idyllic village next to a babbling brook and orchard. It’s actually just a massive housing estate with a smattering of green spaces. Today was coupled with the most magnificent discovery. All series and episodes of the Royle Family are available on iPlayer. This was so creative and pioneering at the time and for me is one of the most brilliant, best British shows, which I used to have on video. I binged watched in the evening and I’m in awe of the cast and how true to life it is.
