Black & White Rose

I wanted to try out an old lens J has dug out from the depths of a cupboard - an old Olympus with manual focus only and aperture set on the lens.  It was sharp but tricky to focus although I am well used to manual focus.  Not at all what I am used to so I reverted to one of my usual lenses  the 30mm macro.  Why make life more difficult than it needs to be?

I also wanted to record these roses I bought very cheaply well over a week ago.  They have been marvellous and are only just past their peak.  Prime candidates for converting to mono and trying to get them as black as I could - they are a creamy white.
