Lockdown science

You know its lockdown because he's still in his PJ's! We were looking at some samples of chalk that we bought back from the old quarry a few days ago. I had to connect the microscope to my old phone as the USB b connector wouldn't work with my newer one, even though it is already 2 years old!
We saw a few things but we are not sure if they were fossils or not. We certainly saw flint inclusions and some other bits and pieces, some of which may have been fossils, but with no-one who knows what they would look like to confirm what we saw, we shall just have to be content with having seen things with the microscope that were not visible with the naked eye. Oh well. At least the boys will remember how the chalk was formed.
