Crisp sunny morning . No riding, waiting for farrier to replace shoe so Hubs and I took Stan the Van up to Toomyvara Woods for a yomp with the dog. Good March uphill and down dale mostly in the sunshine, met a couple with their rescue dog and and swapped tales of tails . Their Alsatian cross was called Tiresias after the blind guide of Apollo. They rescued him when on holiday in Greece, he’d been a chained up farm dog and had gone blind after having being tied up without any shade for all his life, then dumped. He’s a happy, friendly  and beautiful dog living a safe life in Co Tipperary now. A really kind and cool couple .
