Heated vest and heated grips.Good ride out.Extenda Fenda has helped to keep some of the dirt off the bike but the front of the engine still gets covered.
Before anyone mentions essential travel etc. the BMF has checked with the government and leisure motorcycling is allowed as long as all other lockdown rules are followed. So a picnic and flask went with me.
Passed a few large groups of walkers one of which was in excess of fifteen and no masks or social distancing along with many groups of cyclists puffing and blowing their way up the hills.I know that not all cyclists are arrogant, self righteous, selfish a-se holes but I am yet to meet anyone of them dressed in lycra who isn't.Surely there must be one out there.Nothing worse than old men in lycra it is horrible especially when having sausage butties for lunch.
The thing is that I do cycle myself and somehow manage it in normal clothes without being a damn nuisance on the road.At least I hope I am not.
When all this covid is over and it will be one day I want to take Helen down to Provence on a motorcycle. Not enough room on the Guzzi for two.Room on the Honda for two but is there enough grunt?I am not sure.I love this bike for exploring the back roads which is what I bought it for.Perhaps I should have gone for the VFR 800X with the V4 engine.
I promise to catch up reply and comment very soon.
A cold but bright day.
