BOTTOMS UP!
After an excellent Zoom service at church this morning, Mr. HCB and I decided to go out for a walk while it was still sunny. We are extremely fortunate that only five minutes from where we live is a beautiful lake, so we made our way there.
It’s a very pleasant walk, not only because of the situation, but also because a group of people have been busy, making and planting flower beds near the lake, and it’s good to see that many of the flowers are still blooming, which certainly brightens up the area.
We continued our walk but didn’t hang around for too long because there were a lot of parents with their children and we didn’t want to be too close to them. I wanted to get a shot of the swans but because there were so many children about feeding them, we decided to just walk on. We came across quite a lot of Canada Geese so we stopped at one of the fishing platforms and I took several shots and rather liked the pattern of the feathers and also the lake where this one is looking for something under the water.
Hope you are all having a good weekend, despite the lockdown - the weather has certainly been kind to us and we need to make the most of these bright and sunny days.
Things that brought me joy today:
“Meeting” with all our Church friends on Zoom
The beautiful weather - it was so warm in the sunshine
Enjoying the colours and smells of Autumn

being grateful is what makes you joyful.”

P.S. Many thanks for all your kind comments on yesterday’s Blip - JH Ted and Snowy were delighted - and so was I! M xx
