A Downey Chap

Dear Diary,

This beautiful Downey Woodpecker spent a long time enjoying the suet, occasionally looking over his shoulder for possible competition.  His markings are so beautiful I think.  A cold morning but thankfully warming up enough so when the rain comes later today through Monday afternoon, it will stay rain.  Now, it's time to replenish the suet feeder!
