Sunday...

The forecast for today was pleasant and sunny...hey ho, not quite! My walk was grey, cold and rainy but the sun did come out when I went to see the black swan.

This swan has been on the pond at Magdale for a week or so now. No leg rings as far as I could tell but it must have escaped from somewhere I think. How it ended up in this place I have no idea. It looked gorgeous in the sunshine against the background of autumnal coloured water. As always, it's better viewed in large.

At the feeders this morning it was good to find a male brambling...in the extras :)
