Mint patch

I didn't believe HD when he told me that mint is highly invasive, and needs to be planted in pots. I believe it now! After the potted mint passed its prime a few weeks ago, I cut it down, and hoped it will come back in the spring. Low and behold, I now have a brand new mint carpet in the pot. I am curious to see how tall will it get before it freezes! I may need to wrap the pot in old newspapers or towels for the few weeks of subfreezing temperatures.
