Freedom

I struggled between two blips today. We went to a meeting in York and ended up sitting in the Museum gardens eating a pasty. The sky was blue and there was a really happy buzz about the place. It was busy due to school holidays and the lovely weather.
I love the way the children in the photo are just doing their own thing within the ruins of St Mary's abbey.

My other shot was of the Minster from just outside the gardens - not the normal bar wall shot but from ground level with all the hussle and bussle of people and traffic. It feels like my Minster, a constant in my life no matter what else is going on around me or within my life I know that if I go back to York, the Minster will be there as a constant, just like it was when I grew up. Daft, but I always feel protected and safe when I am near it perhaps due to the powerful memories of growing up within sight of it at my Grandparents house.
