Lord Haw Haw

A couple of weeks ago, I was thinking that this has been a great year for producing a bumper crop of haws. The hawthorns were laden with masses of red berries.

Not so now.  Some of them have taken a hammering and here is one of the culprits.

A male blackbird feasting like there is no tomorrow.
