Bertha Park
A new secondary school on the north side of Perth. It is situated out in the countryside at the moment but a development of one thousand dwellings is planned to grow up around it, of which only a small fraction have been built so far. At the moment the school only has the first two year groups of the eventual six. The area is named after a Roman fort which was situated close by next to the River Tay.
As I am posting this I am watching on BBC2 'The River: A Year in the Life of the Tay'. It is presented by Helen Macdonald who wrote 'H is for Hawk' and is on for 1½ hours. Excellent programme.
