Butternut Squash

Back in the kitchen today - I'm cooking a butternut squash & pea curry.  It smells pretty amazing already.

I had a lot of fun trying to stick to the timings in the recipe.  I'm usually a chuck-it-all-in-at-once type of cook but I thought I could try to stick to what was on the recipe card.  So there were lots of displacement activities. Throw the first lot of spices in the hot pan, go down to the cellar and fetch up some bottles of water.  Then throw in the onions.  Take a bottle of water up to G and have a bit of a chat.  Come back down 5 minutes later stir in the garlic & ginger and the rest of the spices.  Clean up the chopping board, the knife and so on.  Then throw in the butternut squash & coconut milk.  All in all I stuck pretty much to the timings.

And if you fancy a bowl of a veggie curry, all you have to do is turn up a bit later this evening.

After peeling and chopping the squash I suddenly noticed my hands were bright orange.  Probably happens to Trump's hair colourist too.
