Windy (Day 2022)

It has been windy all day. Luckily I missed a hail shower when I took the woofers for their morning wander.
I accompanied  my beautiful wife to Stromness to deal with the horses when she came back from her overnight shift. I cleared up and swept the hard standing outside the stable while HV mucked out inside. I was rewarded for my efforts with bacon rolls at the café in Stromness.
Home to collect the woofers for a wander at Lyde. We park the car at the top of the hill and walk down the road a mile or so, then turn back to the car. Walking downhill today into the westerly gale was more difficult than walking back uphill to the car. There was no point in attempting conversation, the words were torn from our mouths.
Back home again to light the fire, pour some coffee and watch the rugby on the TV.
