Honey
There once was a little Westie dog called Honey. Her mummy Debs and Auntie Sam were great pals. Sometimes Honey would have a holiday in Kent to stay with her Auntie Sam.
The first time Honey visited Auntie Sam she turned all the plant pots upside down and shook bulbs all over the garden. She barked at tractors on the country lane and was a little tinker.
On her second visit it was snowing and Honey and Auntie Sam took long walks in the snow and sat by the fire in the pub.
On her summer visits Honey loved to ride open top in Auntie’s Sam’s car to visit the airfield to meet all the pilots like Uncle Jack and Uncle Jonathan and meet the other dogs.
One year Honey went to a steam rally and got very excited at all the other dogs, although it was a little bit too hot for her so she had a sleep under Uncle Bill’s aeroplane wing.
On Saturday evenings Honey snuggled on the sofa and watched TV, she loved Downton Abbey and she especially liked Lord Grantham and his Labrador! If she was very lucky she’d go to sleep on Auntie Sam’s bed.
On Sunday mornings Honey would have scrambled eggs for a treat while Auntie Sam drank coffee.
One time Honey spent a day with Auntie Jackie and met Uncle Mike and Auntie Julie at the gliding club. She enjoyed the rabbit smells most of all.
Honey is now in doggie heaven chasing rabbits and Auntie Sam will always remember her fondly except for the time she rolled in fox poo! Rest in peace Honeybun. I will never forget you.
