Work In Progress
It has been a strange sort of day.
First I dashed back to school to pick up a parcel that had arrived too late for me yesterday.
Then I shot down to Joe's in La Linea, to see if he could fix the roof on my car. Or at least get it closed.
He has had to do that twice before. Inside his workshop, the Big Cat lies forlornly waiting for new life to be breathed into her.
And slowly it is, as Joe has at last, after five and a half years, started work on her. It's a painstaking business, replacing all the rusted metal and there was plenty of it.
But as he says, where else could I have parked her for all this time for free?
Then it was off to Estepona to try to find the acupuncturist in the maze of tiny side streets. Just my luck, the phone died as I was trying to contact her to say "Where on Earth are you" and so I never made it.
Hot, aching and rather flustered, I returned to my car and its phone charger to confess my shortcomings as an intrepid explorer. Fortunately she was very understanding (I suspect I am not the first person to have got lost, trying to find her) and so we have rescheduled.
The bright side was that purely by chance I bumped into Jacqui in the same car park and so we met up later for some coffee in Carrefour. With the cross-border restrictions still in place, that's the best we can do this weekend.
Have a good one everybody.
