Aimee's Boundless Creativity

Aimee Sitarz has an idea for a new installation: a chess board with all the pieces made from vaccine vials. She will call it The Pawn's Sacrifice, and it will treat unequal access to health care: the sacrifice of the poor to billionaires profiteering from Covid-19. She will install her chess boards near the public chess boards in Portland parks. 

She masked up and brought me two huge vats of coconut curry chicken and mushroom soup (see Extras), with just enough pepper, lemongrass, and fresh ginger to make me well, with some chopped cilantro and quartered limes for garnish. I've had a sore throat and a cough this week and very low energy, probably allergy. I heated up a huge bowl of this soup and then had a lie down.
