Pelargonium

Its been a fairly grey winters day today.  I had an interesting zoom meeting this morning relating to a charity (Shivia) which aims to help people work their own way out of poverty. This takes the form of helping families earn an income from rearing of chickens or agricultural using natural fertilisers. It was very interesting to see how much larger the crops and the yield was from using natural fertilisers compared to the neighbouring fields where traditional chemicals were used.  The families tales were also moving as the extra income enabled them to help their husbands when their jobs were lost or when a family member became ill.  In some cases the men were choosing to stay in the villages with their families rather than returning to the cities for a higher wage.

I managed to pop down to the allotment for a little more weeding - not much left now.  Todays blip is another shot of the indoor Pelargonium with its Turkish delight / rose scented leaves.  I didn't realise just how hairy the plant was.

Will this second lockdown reduce the R number sufficiently to be eased after 2nd December I wonder.  I do hope so but think it may be unlikely.
