New life

This is Oregon. Where the so far abundant rains in the fall and winter let everything grow. I thought , this image is nearly symbolic for this wealth of growth. You can see an enormous dead tree stump. In it , it’s wood has decayed to the point that it is nearly as soft as soil. So a new little spruce is growing out of the old stump.

This summer was drier than other summers. With all these changes in climate I could imagine that it will not be that humid
here forever....
