Praying mantis

This fellow appeared when I opened the shutters this morning - he seemed to have been locked inside between window and shutter overnight but appears intact though a bit sleepy. I managed to keep Saffron away from it while it was hanging around.
The weather was a bit mixed but good enough in the afternoon for another swim.
Before that I did some gardening and now have my winter vegetable patch more or less ready.
