Rub A Dub Dub.....
We now have a tub :)
Another day of belt and braces plumbing, Taking absolutely no chances and have re plumbed entire lay out, took time but I reckon piece of mind comes at a price and if that be another six or seven hours labour so be it. I have compression fitted isolation valves and ran a pressure test on the system up to 15 bar which is well in excess of what the mains normally runs at which is 1.5 bar, glad to say nothing went pop and I've re adjusted the pressure back down to 1.8 bar.
The water you see on the floor is from the live cuts to closed radiator system which runs at a lower pressure but to save draining the system down I cut and capped the pipework live so there is always a little residual moisture....well about three litres...lol.
Seeing progress now and have tanked in wall for tiles and also drilled the tap holes onto the bath..a scary moment which requires checking of centres several times before drilling...glad to say all went well.
Tiling and rest of plasterboard tomorrow and have had an e mail to say the radiator has been held up and now not arriving till Tuesday, ah well..have plenty to be getting on with. Ive set up tile cutter and saw to crack on with tiling tomorrow.
