Studio Shot

During the spring and summer, I took a break from shooting backyard birds.  Truth being told, I was just sick and tired of shooting the same thing over and over, but now after my break, I am finding that I have a new enthusiasm for them. 

I am not particularly fond of house sparrows, but this female landed very close to me on a dead branch that I had placed in a large flower pot, just hoping for this opportunity.  I didn't have to remove a thing from the background, this is just as I took it.   Somedays you just get lucky.
