Swift and Sure

I went to the local garden centre today and thankfully it wasn't too busy. Walking through the car park my eye was drawn to these badges on the front grille of a car.
The Royal Corps of Signals is celebrating its Centenary this year after Winston Churchill signed the Royal Warrant for its creation on 28 June 1920. Understandably the celebrations were constrained by the Covid-19 rules.
I realised I knew very little about this combat support arm of the Army so I looked it up this afternoon. The Royal Signals provide the full telecommunications infrastructure for the Army wherever they operate in the world. It was a fascinating read. Their motto is Certa Cito - Swift and Sure.
