Magic Moments

Last Saturday I hunted for a book; all four examples in the library were all being borrowed (and on reserve to boot).

The first book shop I went in was poorly stocked, so I went on to my favourite shop. Couldn't find it there, but the chap behind the counter was lovely, looked it up in his computer, said there was a second-hand one available at their other shop in Rotterdam, and he could order it for me. So he did, and today it came by post.

Not only did it come quickly, but it was gift-wrapped and came with a lovely bookmark which stated "I love books, and you". Probably left over from Valentine's day, but I don't mind, it feels like a present anyway.

Went out for a meal with my colleagues after work at a local tapas bar. I ate too much. Time for bed, with a good book I think ;)
