Happy Diwali

With no art galleries open at the moment and festivity put on hold, Chila Kumari Singh Berman's installation on Tate Britain is a delight.

Opened to coincide with the Hindu Festival of Light, the neon adornments have a decidedly pro immigration message. I especially loved the ice cream van (see extra) which Burman's dad drove when he arrived in Merseyside from India.

It was very quiet on the north bank of The Thames so lots of people were stopping to have a closer look.

It really made me smile.
