Happy Days

What a glorious day!! It was like Summer!
We met Mrs C and her three boys and Mrs J and her two boys at Blenheim Palace. The kids had so much fun running around, having a picnic, climbing trees, playing barefoot in the massive sandpit, having adventures in the adventure playground, eating ice cream, riding on the train, chasing butterflies in the butterfly house, going back in the sandpit and back in the adventure playground!!
The Little Misses ended up covered in mud and chocolate ice cream and sand and were very tired and happy.
I was so proud of Miss L. We got there just after 11am and left at 5pm and she walked and ran and played the whole day without complaint. It's the first time I've taken her out for the day and not taken the buggy. It may be a coincidence but it seems that she's so much more able and/or willing to walk more since she's been off the evil gluten!
She passed out fairly immediately in the car and went to her bed in a pretty filthy state. Baths and laundry all round in the morning!
I was due to meet BradyBird and KateC at Blenheim on Thursday and after such a fabulous day I'm doubly sorry to have had to cancel.
