Red Alert

Well, it’s been a rude awakening to find Bridge of Allan placed in the highest level of Covid red alert.
 
Yes we expect Glasgow and the big industrial towns in the central belt of Scotland, but not our wee genteel town where the age is well above the national average.
 
So what’s gone wrong? Are we all asymptomatic Covid carriers?
 
No it’s simpler than that.  On the outskirts of the town is Scotbeef, the abattoir supplying Marks and Spencer and the workers are low paid East Europeans.
 
 
Once again this pandemic reveals the inequality in so many hidden areas of our society. Until this is tackled we could be living with Covid  years.
