A bit of light pruning
One of the neighbours is having some trees removed. These industrious arbourists use long ropes to tie a branch to the crane hook before sawing it off and lowering it to the ground. By the time this was taken the 60ft Hemlock had already been carefully lopped and the major branches carried over the power lines to the waiting monster wood chipper. Now they have moved on to some Norwegian Maples at the front of the house.
The winters here are tough on trees and branches often crack and split under heavy snow. Unfortunately Hemlocks in this area are also getting killed off by the woolly adelgid bug.
To do this work you need a head for heights, know your knots and ropes and don't mind the cold. It's below freezing and windy. Brrr!
