Crag Martin!

I was photographing snipe along Kirkwall seafront when I saw an alert on my phone of a crag martin over Victoria Street in Kirkwall, five minutes away. I headed over there quickstyle and found the people who had located it...and it was still there. it settled on a crow-step gable and allowed the gathering group of birdwatchers nice views and photo ops. I haven't seen one before and it is only the second record for Orkney. The finders had been entering a bank when it swooped overhead- it is normally found in Spain, southern France and Greece so a very surprising visitor.
