Good Morning Sunshine, The Earth Says Hello

The room was filled with a golden glow when I woke this morning, so what does one do? Leaps out of bed and reaches for the camera of course. There, standing barefoot and oblivious of the chill, my camera and I watched as the morning began to awaken in the northern hemisphere with not a breath of wind and no sounds from any human beings. Paradise reigned.

The scene slowly, gently evolved as the magnificent sun, the bringer of life to this magnificent planet, illuminated the shadows and the darkness and brought life to us once more, as wild birds woke from their night-time sleep and flew elegantly and so peacefully across the sky. My camera and I stood transfixed as the light brightened and we watched as the sun made its cheerful way across the horizon, peeking across the still dense dark colour of the sea, until it rose like a magnificent ball of fiery energy and slowly transformed everything it shed its light upon.

In silence and in serenity another day on Planet Earth was born.
