Scotland Day 19

We walked up to 

Todays walk was along Balakeil beach to Faraid Head (military base). From top most northerly point you can just see Cape rath lighthouse. We also visited  Balnakil Craft Village. Based at an old 1950’s listening station. Early residents had nothing other than an empty concrete shell of a building, and worked together to install plumbing etc. They later had the opportunity to buy their own properties, and today the units are predominantly occupied by artists and crafters. A great concept, but could be more impresive if more effort was put into the outside appearance. I purchased a little bar of very expensive handmade soap, influenced probably as it was made Rose Cottage - we once lived in a property called the same. The soap is looovely.
