Gorse...

...not bad looking, but hiding some deadly thorns - a bit like me!

Thrives in poor growing conditions and although highly flammable, can withstand fire. Can become dominant in suitable conditions.
The similarities are uncanny... I might have to adopt gorse as my emblem!
