St Birdsbath Well

It was a long journey. The long mid-morning descent was broken for a brief coffee refreshment before opening the portal to the land of newly emergent holy wells. Reverently passing St Sewers Well with a bow of appreciation, I pressed on negotiating the precipitous bad step at Garden Shed corner before emerging onto the rough plateau where St Birdsbath’s Well glistened before me ... sister well to the famous St Fiacre Well https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2718930014824301883 and it even has its own meniscus (meniscui?!)
