After the rain

Not such a good day today. We had rain overnight which continued into the morning, and its quite a bit cooler. By the afternoon it had mostly dried up, just leaving puddles in the usual spots, so I got out for a walk around the neighborhood. I'm on my own for dinner this evening, as Roger is out at one of his colleagues retirement "do". The economy is leaving its mark - there have been a number of people taking early retirement packages, including two people we know from church, some have been laid off, and there will be no annual pay raise this year.
