Long planned walk

During the last lockdown AuntieP and I talked about a walk we could do.  Today we got around to doing it.  The route over several stiles and through numerous fields was very muddy, but we slithered our way through!  Long range views over a nearby village, lots of old houses being renovated, horses and cattle lined the route.  Pathways new to me.  My blip is a private lake near to the appropriately named Lake House - the lake even had bull rushes.  There were geese at the side of the lake - perhaps that is where some of the ones from St Ives Estate have settled.  We went a slightly different way at the end of the walk and returned partly on the roadside, AuntieP spotting that an old farmhouse being renovated already had festive lights up - perhaps they hope to move in for Christmas.  Had to remove boots and trousers in the hallway when I got home as they were caked in mud - it was even on my legs up above my ankles in places!!  A good walk - and the rain held off!  Thank you P for the company.
