Castle view

We went to the castle this afternoon and it was really deserted with more staff than visitors. Usually you don’t even notice how many Historic Environment Scotland people are there as there are so many visitors. Apparently there were about 70 visitors in the castle today, which really shows how many people from outwith Edinburgh there are normally. We had a look in the old jail for the first time before looking through a cannon slot in the half-moon battery where the blip was taken over the Esplanade.
