Heartbroken Hotel

I have passed this ex-hotel on several occasions. It is just outside my nearest town of Maidstone and used to be quite smart with spotless brickwork and smartly painted window frames but it has been allowed to disintegrate over the last few years after it closed and is slowly being engulfed by weeds and ivy. I fear it will soon be a development sight,  could be demolished for housing which is unaffordable to the local community and a characterful building will be lost to yet more unimaginative flats or houses with no sense of place, history or spark of originality.
