Deer in Paddock

I was thinking this morning, It is quite w while since we have seen the deer around in the paddock behind our bungalow. The last sight I can remember was in the summer months when the mother and baby deer were around. However, Margaret spotted one deer towards the edge of the paddock just after lunch. I could see from inside the house but wanted to get up close to take a reasonable shot so I used my fieldcraft skills (ie. going out of the back door and creeping round the house and appearing from behind the lelandiae !) and manage to get several shots where for once in a way there were not grasses in front of the animal obscuring the view.
