I'll explain....Induction electric hob units have only one failing, if a pan is on the boil it may very likely boil over and flood the surface of the hob and also the surround too, as the liquid has no place to go. This kitchen gadget prevents that happening and it does work...you can tell how badly I was stuck for a Blip today:))
