Scarletina
Torrential overnight rain and localised flooding meant that the spaniel and I had to take a detour on the morning walk. That turned out to be a good thing because I wouldn't have found these beauties otherwise. I think they are Scarletina Boletes (Neoboletus luridiformis) not one I recall finding before. The habitat, appearance and size are right and when I broke one open the flesh instantly turned blue. There were some even bigger ones nearby but I liked the way these three were grouped together.
