Helping Rafi

William and Owen visited today (in fact they are still here as I write this). They helped Rafi practise identifying and choosing pictures on an acrylic board which he needs to be able to do before the 'eye gaze' communication aid will be useful. They then played on the x-box which is a very normal thing for Rafi to be around. They also brought a lovely big ' Get Well' card from his English class at school and a montage of photos of the 3 of them.
Rafi had a bad night again last night, but when I arrived today just after the boys got here he looked at bright at a button.
The dressing has been removed from his tracheostomy site and it looks really good, not much of a scar. He's still a bit 'gurgley' in his airway, the Neurologist and Physio were a little concerned yesterday, but ENT registrar and nurse have been today and think he's coping OK
