Cold Morning at the Harbor

Our first excursion in a long time -- probably not considered essential by some people's standards. We went to buy some seafood at Squalicum Harbor, warmly dressed, masked, and socially distanced. We are glad to live in an area where people treat the pandemic seriously.

It was a new experience for Hamish, made memorable, no doubt, by encounters with two Westies -- and numerous other breeds.We bought some smoked Black Cod (AKA sablefish) and a dozen oysters in the shell -- extra photo.

Cynthia made hot chocolate when we got home -- much appreciated. We sampled the Black Cod, and I polished off the oysters with a toasted crusty roll for lunch.

Hamish had a sample of the fish skin and gave it a two paws up rating. He didn't get any of my oysters!
