The duck tells it as it is

Up and out to see my mum, then back to swap out the dog for Kate and my swimming bag. On wild and windy days, Shoreham harbour provides calm and sheltered waters. Every swimmer from Brighton to Worthing were there today though. We timed it beautifully, nearly 3 hours after high tide- still plenty of water and all of the crowds gone. We ended up the last ones in, Kate, me and my floating duck thermometer. I wanted to know the temperature, Hannah’s duck has been reporting 9 degrees in the Marlow-ish Thames. My duck has us at a balmy and temperate 14! A just lovely swim as ever and we took our hot chocolate in the car with the heaters on.

Jay and Will were happy to welcome The Butter House (to follow another blip day) into our house. We had lamb kebabs in front of the telly. All a lovely Saturday.

Rosie is still limping though. I sit on the sofa to make her feel happier.
