New reality day 109

"The Greyest Day of the Year 14.11.

The Greyest Day of the Year is taking over Finland on November 14. The day is bringing joy and happiness to the middle of the grey Finnish season. Let's all gather together and celebrate the magical day!"

A Finnish Long drink has declared this day the greyest day (their drink is grey too) of the year. And I guess statistically it is that too. And today certainly has been. And the whole week.

The picture was taken by the pond before sunrise. But the sun didn't emerge from behind the clouds all day.

We did some shopping this morning and after that I was crafting some Christmas cards and then I baked some gingerbread cookies. (I bought some new molds this morning so I had to make some - naturally.) I'm too tired to decorate them, but perhaps tomorrow.

I just had a good sauna. We also bought a small fountain (that you put into the rocks, so that it will spray water) and some scents to use in the löyly water. I'm really enjoying my luxurious sauna experience in my own home. That really is luxury that I enjoy to the core.



I have to tell something funny that happened to my husband today. He went for a jog around the woods where are there are different trails around the area of the pond in the picture. All of a sudden he saw a car reversing towards him. There shouldn't be any cars around. It's only for skiers (during winter when there's snow) and joggers and walkers during snow free times. The car notices my husband running towards and and reverses into the ditch. My husband asks if the people are alright and they shout for help (in English). Turned out they were Russians. So they all tried to push the car out of the ditch, but it didn't move. Finally one of the guys (who was really drunk) said he can lift the car by himself. And he did it! Well it was a small FIAT, but still.

The Russians had been fishing and had gotten lost in the trails. With the car that was not supposed to be there. And my husband started to suspect that they all were also drunk. But he wasn't sure if the driver was are wasn't. They also needed some instructions how to find out of the woods, Hope they made it safely not hurting anyone.
