Lake Karapiro

We took a drive to Cambridge this morning to look at some gardens which aren't normally open. We took lunch with us with the idea of stopping at a picnic spot along the Waikato River. Little did we realise there was a major Rowing regatta on Lake Karapiro which is the country's top rowing venue  and is where our Olympic rowers are based.  It was very enjoyable watching while we had lunch
