The Pyjama Game

Children In Need means dressing up day for most teachers and, thanks to an overlong school council meeting, chaired by a weary deputy head, we were given the choice of ‘own clothes’, ‘superheroes’ or ‘pyjamas’. I opted for pyjamas with additional bed hair which seemed like the easiest option. We had a fun day but I was sadly outnumbered by errant superheroes. It all got a bit out of hand at lunch time when Darth Vader was ganged up on by Batman and a Power Ranger who clobbered him with a rubber brick. Luckily he was rescued by Supergirl and Unicorn Girl (wearing her pyjamas) and it was all going well until Spiderman slipped on the wet decking and had a major meltdown and demanded to go home and never return to this school.
