Orchid or two

Last night at the camera club the speaker was saying how he took many macro photos with his 300mm lens so today I thought I'd give it a try - popped the orchids in the window and went to the other end of the room. If there had been an insect on the flower I suspect it would have been visible, but I'd still need to get a bit closer!
In extra - this afternoon I went for a wander with one of the 'walking' group; we strolled along a river to a weir where we saw at least 6 fish trying hard to get up the weir.  It is a heavily cropped phone shot - but you can see the small(ish) fish trying to fly.  None of them succeeded whilst we watched. 
A lovely hour or so though.
