Dystopian Day
Work started early as I wanted to get a little bit of daylight and go into town to play with the camera.
But town was weird, there was a sense of other-worldly dystopianess! Cars were annoyingly present, people were about but there was no city energy. Pubs were shut, shops, cafes and restaurants looking empty. As the sun set, most of the lights in the city buildings didn't illuminate the streets. There were no immediate camera opportunities, and those that may have been present were ruined by street furniture and cars. I longed to be in a west coast cottage near the sea!
I stopped off at Real Foods on the way home....it's the best health food shop in the world to buy unhealthy treats! I stopped off at a beer place to get an accompaniment for the pizza too!
The day wasn't all bad. I had a few meetings including one with an Olympic athlete which went in a very unexpected direction. I had a few deadlines to hit and managed them....but it'll still be a busy week next week.
As it's Friday, I decided to make pizza. To keep Rosemary happy, I'm doing a quasi-Moroccan one with spices, roast cauliflower and no cheese. It will be nice but Antonio Carluccio would turn in his grave!
