FISH OUT OF WATER

...is what I've felt like for a lot of the day. The weather has been unexpectedly clement, and I have got quite a lot done, but I've been scatterbrained, clumsy and generally daft for most of the day. However, no harm done and I've got my proper specs back, I'm pleased to say. This photo was taken in Wesley Square. It's the (switched-off) fountain outside the old and sadly derelict Wesley Chapel, later nightclub, which burned out three years ago and hasn't been touched since. Immediately after I took the photo and was about to cross the road to the optician to collect and pay for the specs, I realised that I'd left my bank cards at home, and that I also needed the cards for my only other errand today, at the bank. Fortunately the optician trusted me to take the specs and phone in my card details later, but I had to go home and out again to get the banking done (their one function that I couldn't do online). I hope I'll have adjusted to the new lenses by the morning and be back to normal scattiness.
